Gale was then 18 and Gale, then 18, won a Perth model competition in her early teens. Gale has appeared on the cover of Australian Marie Claire, Grazia, Gioia, Italian and Australian GQ, Italian Maxim, Australian InStyle and featured in editorials of Australian Cosmopolitan and Vogue Italia. Gale has been a model in Italian fashion houses like Gianfranco Ferre Genny, Gai Mattiolo as well as runway shows with Mariella Burani as well as Angelo Marani at Milan Fashion Week. 9 Gale is also a fan of many Australian designers, such as Colette Dinnigan Kirrily Johnston Lisa Ho, Willow and Alex Perry. Also, she was the fashion expert for the Logies, which is an Australian television show. Gale announced in January 2008 her decision to retire in fashion after fifteen prosperous years. Just a few weeks later on, during the unveiling of the David Jones winter collection in Sydney, Gale walked for the final time on the catwalk. Her final outfit was that of the Wonder Woman outfit she was to wear in the still-shelved motion picture Justice League of America. The film was released in March 2011.
